Kinusaiga is a Japanese textile art form in which fabric is tucked and folded into carved grooves of a foam or board surface — no sewing required! Strips and scraps of colorful fabric are pressed into a design to build up a rich, textured picture, layer by layer. The result looks like a painting, but is entirely made of cloth.
In this workshop, you'll complete a vibrant sun-over-water landscape using an assortment of scrap fabrics. The design is already prepared — you simply bring your creativity and enjoy the meditative process of tucking fabric into place.
Class need at least 3 students to run.
No shows forfeit any refund or transfers.
