Birthday Party
***PARENT MUST HAVE COORDINATE A DATE AND TIME WITH THE SEWING ROOM BEFORE PAYING $150 DEPOSIT.***

Birthday Parties are geared toward children 6+, for up to 10 guests total. Children ages 6+ will choose from our hand-sewing projects, while children 8+ can choose either a hand sewing or machine-sewing project. You pick out the project ahead of time and we prep everything beforehand. All party-goers will be working on the same project. All machines, tools and materials are included!
Each class starts with a brief "how to sew" tutorial and then we jump into the project. We take care of all the fussy stuff: measuring, cutting, threading the machine, and clean-up! Our instructors will be assisting the kids through the project.
Upon confirmation of your time slot and ages of your party attendees, you may choose one of the following projects:
Hand Sewing (ages 6+)
Small Stuffie
Embroidery Hoop Felt Applique Design
Embellished Fabric Pins
Machine Sewing (ages 8+)
Printed Animal pillow
Cross-body bag
Simple lined tote bag

Details:
Parties run for 2.5 hours from start to finish. This allows for a warm-up scrap tutorial and sewing the planned project. The last 30 minutes are available for you to sing and serve cake/snacks. You provide all paper goods, food and (non-sticky!) drinks, but we will do the clean up. We do have a refrigerator and microwave for use if needed. Guests will leave the party with their own handmade creation, so there's no need for additional favor bags!
Pricing:
Birthday parties are $300 for up to 4 attendees. Additional guests $25/each, up to 10 total. A deposit of $150 will be required to hold your date with the remainder due 1 week prior to the event along with final head count.
NO refunds or reimbursements will be given if notice is given less than 1 week prior to the event.
If the party is canceled for reasons which The Sewing Room is responsible for, including instructor illness, inclement weather, or shop closure due to other reasons out of our control, The Sewing Room will reschedule the party on a new date/time.
